Who we are
Nice Little Earner is made by Pixel Logic Studios, an independent games studio in the United Kingdom, which is the data controller here. Reach us at hello@nicelittleearnergame.com.
The mailing list
If you give us your email address, this is the whole of what happens to it.
What we collect. Your email address. Nothing else. There is no name field, no country field, and no hidden ones.
Why. To send you one message on the day the Steam page goes live, so you can wishlist the game. That is the entire purpose of the list.
Confirmation first. When you sign up we send a note asking you to confirm. If you don’t click it, you are never added and you hear nothing further. That is there to stop anyone putting your address on our list but you.
Who else handles it. The list is stored and sent by Kit, an email service, acting on our instructions. We do not sell addresses, we do not share them, and we do not hand them to anyone else.
How long we keep it. Until you unsubscribe, or until the launch email has gone out and the list has done its job. We are not building a long-term marketing database here.
Leaving. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. You can also just email us and we’ll remove you.
Visitor numbers
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It tells us how many people arrived, which pages they looked at, roughly which country they were in and what sort of device they used.
It sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you anywhere else. Nothing it records can be traced back to you. That is also why this site has no cookie banner: there are no cookies to ask about.
We use it to know whether the page is working, which mostly means whether people who arrive go on to sign up.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask for a copy, and object to how we use it. Email us and we will do it. Usually the answer is that we hold one email address and nothing else.
If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, so we can fix it.
Changes
If any of this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not start collecting something new and leave this page saying otherwise.
